Last week we noticed that we weren't getting any notifications from Nagios after a maintenance window to move our Hyper-V hosts to a new version of System Center Virtual Machine Manager (SCVMM). When logging in, I saw that service checks and notifications were both disabled.
When i tried to enable either, I get the message: Gateway Timeout - did not receive a timely response from the upstream server or application.
We have restored the VM from a backup before the move and the services are no longer disabled, but we still are not getting any alerts and still getting the error message.
Things I tried so far (after looking on the forums):
• Restart the VM
• restart the Nagios/apace services
• increase the socket timeout
• increase webserver timeout
• Migrate to new Hyper-V host
• Verify configuration
• Reload configuration
• SSH to VM to confirm connectivity
Has anyone else run into this problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
We are on 4.4.3. I will upgrade if necessary as well.
