.ova Template and OS version

Ahead of implementation, we have been asked what version of CentOS is being distributed within nagiosxi-5.7.5-64.ova. Without a vmware to extract and test myself, I'm unable to determine the version. We would like to plan ahead for OS patching in a tight, offline environment and its version number is a necessary starting point.

The current OVA for Nagios XI is using Cent 7 ( 7.9.2009, see attached screenshot ).

With Centos changing to a streaming release, will you be changing the OVA anytime soon to Ubuntu or other distro? - Wes

@wesh - I just asked this the other day so may be able to help. They haven't yet decided on future course for the OVA but recommended (unsure if an 'official' recommendation or not so ymmv) Ubuntu in place of CentOs. I had asked for several customers where we are about to install nagios and were second guessing use of Centos.

I just confirmed with development, that we'll keep the OVA on Cent 7 for now ( and planning to change it later in the year, the distro has not been confirmed at this point).
