Remove Services in bulk

Post by RIDS_I2MP »

Hi Team,

Can you please let us know whether can we remove services in bulk.

If yes please let us know for a particular host suppose we have configured 200 services out of which 80 services are in Critical state due to some reasons so we need to make them inactive .

So my question is how we can make those 80 services Inactive on bulk basis.
Thanks & Regards,
I2MP Team.

Unfortunately the Core Config Manager does not indicate the services' status when managing them, so it becomes difficult to find critical services on that page.

You could use service groups to organize your services by applying ONE service to a big Host Group. Host Groups are most useful when you want the same service with a slightly different parameters to apply to a large groups of hosts. When viewing the hosts from the dashboard, it shows that service for each host, but in the backend, it's only one service definition that's attached to a whole Host Group.

What you could also try is building your own API client using the online API documentation in the Nagios XI site under Help.
