I created a new host using Configuration Wizard but I can't see the host.
I created it using the GUI
1. Configuration Wizard -> Website URL
2. I defined the details and click finish
3. I got "Configuration applied successfully.
Your configuration changes have been successfully applied and the monitoring engine was restarted"
But then when I click on the View status details for <my host name>, I couldn't find the host. What could be the reason?
I am using the nexus xi trial
Configuration Wizard: Website URL
Re: Configuration Wizard: Website URL
Hi Kidist,
What could have happened was that you might have defined the "Host Name" that already been defined (used) for other services, so your new host/service will be grouped together with your other older (defined) services. I tested the process of creating my new website monitor and below is what I got: Can you please share picture of your "Host" and "Services" from your Nagios XI GUI?
Also, please include your "Host/Services" name that you said was not created.
Regards,
Vinh

Re: Configuration Wizard: Website URL
Hi Hi Kidist,
Would it be possible that you could replace the long URL's name with IP instead when running (creating) the wizard?
Maybe Nagios XI not able to connect or understand the long name.

Vinh

I used the IP instead and still not working
Can you try checking for the URL http://3.12.84.40:8090/v2/network/information on your Nagios instance?
Thanks.

Re: Configuration Wizard: Website URL
Hi Kidist,
Yes, I am able to get to the "http://3.12.84.40:8090/v2/network/information" URL.
Here's the output from that page:
I was able to test this out by creating the "Host" and "Service" using the URL provided with both "Website" and "Website URL" wizards.
Here's one of the step: Here's the output displays from the "Website" wizard: Here's the output displays from the "Website URL" wizard: Best Regards,
