Post by hbronk »

is the new configuration wizard broken ?

I updated the auto wizard NCPA agent and all Nagios XI is updated .
While using it for adding windows servers into monitoring, it does not show the disk and network metrics anymore ?

Does that mean you were missing the disk and network from step 2 of the wizard when you were adding Windows hosts thru the NCPA wizard, or were you doing something else?

I just went thru the NCPA wizard with a Windows host running NCPA 2.3.0, using the latest collection of all wizards, and it prompts me to add a service check for disk usage, and network usage.

Are you using any custom configurations on the Windows machines? Modifications to ncpa.cfg? Running the NCPA service as a underprivileged user?

After installing the NCPA agent, did you restart the service on the Windows machine?

hi there,

I use the standard Configuration Wizard: NCPA
Windows server is standard, nothing fancy done there, I removed and reinstalled the NCPA agent on the server and after install I see it running
Just restarted the NCPA agent processes, tried it via the Configuration Wizard Windows and the generic one and tried generic and windows as an option.

All gave like beneath, excluding the disk and network interfaces.
Also via Manage Deployed Agents - it gives the same

Configuration Wizard: NCPA - Step 1
Setup NCPA
The agent should be installed before you continue running this wizard.

Download the latest version of NCPA for the system you would like to monitor
Follow the installation instructions (PDF version) and configure the token for the agent
Connect to NCPA
Address:
"ip address"
The IP address or FQDNS name used to connect to NCPA.
Port:
5693
Port used to connect to NCPA. Defaults to port 5693.
Do not verify SSL certificate
Token:
••••••••••••

Authentication token used to connect to NCPA.
System: Windows
Used to set the icon for the host.

and using the wizrd shows this :
Disk Metrics
Specify the disks the the warning and critical percentages for disk capacity.

Disk/Mount Current Usage Thresholds
Network Interface Metrics
Specify bandwidth limits for your network interfaces. Note that these measurements are per second, not a counter.

Interface Name Thresholds
Hide unselected interfaces
