Hi,
Recently I have update my Nagios XI server to centos 7 vmware image.
centos 7 vmware image come with mariadb 5.5 that will come out of support un May.
What need to be done to avoid this. For sure, updating mariadb, but do you have a specific procedure to do it?
Note
This is the version of the mariadb I used actually:
Welcome to the MariaDB monitor. Commands end with ; or \g.
Your MariaDB connection id is 286406
Server version: 5.5.68-MariaDB MariaDB Server
mariadb 5.5 and end of support soon

Re: mariadb 5.5 and end of support soon
Hi @steph007,
My understanding of this is that CentOS 7 will continue to support mariadb 5.5 on Cent 7 using backported updates.
See:
What is backporting, and how does it apply to RHEL and other Red Hat products?
Backporting Security Fixes
The other option would be to remove 5.5 and install a newer version from the MariaDB repo.
