monitoring engine failing after upgrading to 5.8.2

Our Nagios monitoring engine is failing after i did the update.

we have tried restarting the engine, we also tried to restart the server.



EDIT: I have rolled backed to 5.7.5 so my system is working. i did download the system profile before doing so. Can someone look at it and tell me what went wrong. I would like to know reasoning before i attempt to update to 5.8 again.

Looking at the "profile", I noticed this error which will prevent Nagios from starting.

Error: Template 'tpl_G_MCAT_Apache_Service' specified in service definition could not be not found (config file '/usr/local/nagios/etc/services/UN25C01MS01.tiretech2.contiwan.com.cfg', starting on line 16)
   Error processing object config files!

Please use CCM (Core Config Manager) to fix the issue, do not edit the file directly as it will be over written by the database.

Please run the below command, which will displays the ERROR and try to fix the issue using CCM:

/usr/local/nagios/bin/nagios -v /usr/local/nagios/etc/nagios.cfg

You also has database crashed, but that can be fix with the repair_database script.

still having issues, i deleted that service and template before re attempting to upgrade. Upgraded successful no errors. did a database repair after update. Still having issues with monitoring engine.

I rolled back a snap shot and got it working.(still not updated to 5.8.2) my next issue i am having is the Guest cant see a dash board no longer. it is appearing like this ?

I am trying to make sure my system is working correctly before trying to attempt to upgrade to 5.8.2. i have been experiencing a lot of issues.

i fixed the dashboard issue, now i need someone to review my current system profile before trying to update to 5.8.2. it seems to be working perfect now.

Hi,
Since your system is working now, please shut it down and take a GOOD snapshot of that VM.
It only take a minute, but you have something to fall back to.

I do not want to take a snapshot when my VM is running, that way I know for sure I have a GOOD backup.

As to the "profile.zip", please upload that and I will take a look.
