Hi
according to my knowledge, users are entitled to see hosts/services if they are in the notification group/users for that hosts/service
there is a user and i want to give this user's permissions (the hosts and services one can see) to another user.
how can i see what services/hosts can be seen by that user?
and how can i copy these "permissions to see hosts/services" to another user
Normally, i use notification groups for entitlement. but some users have been assigned in "notification users". this makes things difficult.
copy host/service permissions to another user

Re: copy host/service permissions to another user
If you're referring to a "user" as someone who's receiving notifications for hosts/services from the Nagios XI system, then I think you're referring to a contact. There isn't any way currently to to clone a contact, such that all the hosts and services and h/s/c groups they're a member of are copied.
I mean, there's ways to manually do it via the Nagios XI interface. And if you wanted to spend 5 hours developing an ad-hoc API caller script to query and create the associations, you probably could. But there's no shortcut.
