NagVis upgrade?

When XI is upgraded, does NagVis get upgraded also or is it a manual process?

I looked at my XI 5.8.3 and my Nagvis version is 1.9.8. The latest Nagvis released is 1.9.25

If you really have to have it now you could always try upgrading it yourself, but you should make absolutely sure that you have good backups/vm snapshots to revert to in case it causes problems and you should try it in a test environment first.

This will probably get reverted if you upgrade Nagios XI and I'm unsure what will really happen, make sure to have good backups/vm snapshots before upgrading XI as well.

Looking at our XI 5.7.5, NagVis 1.9.8 is installed (it may or may not have been manually upgraded by another admin).

So is that a yes, NagVis is periodically upgraded when upgrading XI?

Hi TBT,
No, the Nagvis 1.9.8 was released on 2018-04-24.
Today, Nagios XI 5.8.3 still has Nagvis v1.9.8

So, to answer your question .... "NO".

If you want a newer version, please feel free to do that but make sure you have a good VM backup.
