Nagios VMware appiance OS and Security patching

Hello Support,

We have Nagios XI Enterprise v5.6.4 in out production environment. It has been build from a OVA available on Nagios website under downloads.
It has not been patched since installation. We checked with our server support team but we have only RedHat servers in our environment and they can not patch it since its an appliance. Since this is an appliance built by Nagios. Could you please help us on how we should keep the OS under is secure and updated. Do you have your own repository where we can connect and update these appliances?

I checked with my team member (Sean) and he said ....

It's not a locked down appliance, it's just an XI source installed on-top of a fresh minimal install of CentOS so they would use standard CentOS commands to update it ala

I'm very sorry, but we do not have our own repository where we can connect and update these appliances.
