Cisco port IFMIB -> Port mapping

Post by pitl »

Hi Support, can you please let me know if there is an easy way to add Cisco switches with Port number instead of the IFMIB id which is not very useful for us when tracking down an issue with a port. I have around 60-70 switches that I need to traverse through, they are already added in Nagios. If I have to delete and re-add them I can do that if absolutely necessary. Hopefully there is an easier way?

You should be able to select Port's Number, Port's Name, and Port's Description in the wizard for Monitor Using on the first page and it will set the Service Description accordingly. Will that meet your needs?
