When you close an index, does the replicated data get removed recovering that space?

Hi Greg,
I checked with the team and "close" just stop the read/write but data (primary & replica shards) still exists.
So, you are not saving spaces when "closed".

Great, that was the last piece of the puzzle. The documentation seem to indicate that the replica would be gone and just the primary would be on disk.
