Nagios Upgrade

Hi Team,

We have XI 5.7.2 installed with offload DB and some of servers NDO-3 version degraded with NDO2DB.
Need your recommendation to upgrade our existing XI environment with latest stable version. Please suggest on below.
1. Which version should we consider for upgradation from current version
2. Will be there any compatibility issue on NDO2DB installed server during upgradation
3. Will NDO2DB replaced with NDO-3 after upgradation if yes can we revert back with NDO2DB

1. Which version should we consider for upgradation from current version

5.8.5 was released last week and we have not heard of any issues. If you'd like
to be extra cautious then use 5.8.4

2. Will be there any compatibility issue on NDO2DB installed server during upgradation

No because it will upgrade you to NDO-3

3. Will NDO2DB replaced with NDO-3 after upgradation if yes can we revert back with NDO2DB

Yes, you will be updated to NDO-3. Yes you can revert back to NDO2DB.


We encourage you to go through this process with Test servers. You should create an environment that reflects
your Prod environment as closely as possible. Then go through the upgrade. Our licensing agreement allows
you to do this.
