Hi,

Those MIB files have a variety of extensions...sometimes .mib sometimes .txt

They are all just text files, you can view them in Notepad or Notepad++

I am pretty confident that Nagios will take it as it is. But if it doesn't you can just rename it
with a .mib extension.

If you can't get it uploaded, or have any other questions please let me know.

Thanks!

Dear Greg,

Hi i hope you are fine in this pandemic.

So after adding the OIDS for the UPS in the rows column. Can it shows the number of input lines, Ambient Temperature, output and Voltage or we need to create some kind of service so that we have the desired parameters from the UPS.

I got the Mibs files from the shared URL and downloaded the Mibfiles with .Mib extension and uploaded into the Nagios Xi server.

Thanks

Hi

After running through the SNMP Wizard and Saving it, you will need to do "Apply Configuration"

Choose Home, Services. Then hit the Apply Configuration button (circled), you will see if the configuration
for a Service has been applied by looking under the Status column (also circled).

Let me know how it works out.

Thanks!

Hi

Sounds good - you are very close to having that UPS set up for monitoring :)

Let me know how you are doing once you apply the configuration.

Thanks

Hi Greg,

There is no SNMP Walk wizard option of the Mib file in step 1 of our 5.6.5 Nagios XI. So what is the best way to use the Benning Vendor Mib file so that i can have the desired paramters of the UPS

Thanks

Hi

Would you like to schedule a remote (screen sharing) session so we can work through these issues?

If so schedule a time at this link: redacted

If you can't find a suitable time please let me know and we can continue using this forum.

Thanks
