Migrate 5.6.12 on ova centos 6

I need to migrate NagiosXI 5.6.12 on centos 6 ova to the new Nagios centos 7 ova. I understand the destination Nagios must be the same version as the source (5.6.12 in this case), and that after the restore/migration is successful I then upgrade to newest Nagios version.
But first how do I downgrade the new version to 5.6.12 on the centos 7 ova? Thanks
