NagiosXI appliance upgrade

We currently have a nagiosXI appliance based on VMware ova with NagiosXI version 5.7.4 an Centos 6.1.0.
What would be the upgrade path for this appliance to a supported Centos version?
Is it possible to download a new ova nagiosxi appliance with 5.7.4. and do a config restore to this appliance?
And I would like to know on what Linux version the current NagiosXI appliances are build with.

You'll want to go to 5.7.4 on CentOS7.

From there you could either:
1. XI 5.7.4 --> XI 5.87 on CentOS7, then CentOS7 -> CentOS8 if you desire.
2. XI 5.7.4 on CentOS7 --> CentOS8, then XI 5.7.4 to 5.8.7 on CentOS8

Yes - we have 5.7.4 on CentOS 7 that I could provide to you. It's almost 2 GB so if you have a location I could
upload it to that would be awesome.

And I would like to know on what Linux version the current NagiosXI appliances are build with.

--They are built with CentOS7.

You can download the 5.7.4 with Cent 7 OVA using the link below.

Then just run the backup/restore process between the two systems.
