Hi All.
Excuse as have read most documents and still am not clear about passive monitoring handled by Nagiosxi .
Have doubt in below conditions .
1. If respective node is down, am not getting any alert on console it showing last check status itself .
2. How we can do active check of each passive check status, so that if do not received new update from Node-A since last 5 minutes it will considered as critical .
Thanks,
Shirish

Re: Passive Monitoring Checks Confusioin.
One way you could have it revert back to an Ok status is by enabling freshness checks. The way passive checks work is they only notify you when there is a problem, or when a expected state changes. So it will not naturally go back to an Ok state because it doesn't know that anything was resolved. Freshness checks will automatically change the state if there are no error updates received. Skip down to page 3 in this documentation for a good guide on enabling this:

Was on right track .. As. by default "check_dummy" have status "0 (OK)" .
Now have change it and enable proper notification it seems it's good now .
Have made changes in respective Tempaltes .
Configure -> Templates ->
xiwizard_passive_host
xiwizard_passive_service
