ubuntu 22.10 Kinetic clean fresh install
64bit
curl automated install
nothing else is currently installed
at the end of the installation I'm getting this error:
Failed to enable unit: Refusing to operate on alias name or linked unit file: ntp.service
not sure where to go from here as I could not find this error upon searching the forum

Hello, sorry to hear that you are having issue.
I have checked and verified that Nagios XI is supported on Ubuntu LTS versions only. This maybe why you are having issues.
Here are the Platform Versions that are currently supported for Nagios Software:
RHEL requires the Optional software channel to be enabled.
CentOS Stream 9 / RHEL 9 (XI, NLS)
CentOS Stream 8.6 / RHEL 8.6 (XI)
CentOS Stream 8.1-8.5 / RHEL 8.1-8.5 (XI, NLS, NNA and Fusion)
CentOS 7 / RHEL 7 (XI, NLS, NNA and Fusion)
Ubuntu 22.04 LTS (XI, NLS)
Ubuntu 20.04 LTS (XI, NLS, NNA and Fusion)
Ubuntu 18.04 LTS (XI, NLS, NNA and Fusion)
Debian 11 (XI, NLS)
Debian 10 (XI, NLS, NNA and Fusion)
