WMIC Eg from Zenoss

Post by greenman123 »

Hi, we've migrated Nagios Xi from a CentOS server to RHEL8 server using the migration steps.

We've encountered a few problems, one of them being this error for alot of services:

This plugin requires the linux implementation of wmic eg from zenoss.

I know we're moving away from NSClient, and we're planning to use NCPA, but in the meantime we'd like to understand what is going on.

Any suggesitons?

Hey @greenman123

Unfortunately migrating across distros can have some complications with doing so. I don't have enough information to go into it the exact issues however this thread may help: viewtopic.php?p=301161. If you attempt the fixes mentioned in this post make sure to make a snap shot before making any changes. Other than that migrating to NCPA would be a good choice since it has a much more consistent way of gathering information that does not rely on WMI.
