Hey guys,
I've been trying to improve ease of access to some of the 3rd party tools recently (NagVis, Graphing, etc) and noticed Nagios XI doesn't handle action_url icons and mouse over pop-ups and stuff, which is not all that surprising really. It would be nice if we could bring that stuff into XI, bonus points if for graphs you can use those slick looking highcharts.
Ninja edit: Oh yeah, and NagVis is in dire need of an update in the XI package it's three releases behind and there's been some pretty important improvements in the display logic from 1.4 to 1.7
Nagios XI graph pop-ups
Re: Nagios XI graph pop-ups
Yeah, I'm liking this idea. I'm thinking what we'll do is create an icon callback so that new components can register a new function to be run. That way components like the graph explorer, or nagvis, or whatever can add an icon to a host or service with some sort of popup, link, or rollover.
Re: Nagios XI graph pop-ups
The ability to add custom callbacks for the status tables will exist in Xi 2012r1.3 and later. The graph explorer component will also be updated to create graph icons right into the status tables so users can view performance graphs for a host or service without leaving the page. This was a great idea!
Re: Nagios XI graph pop-ups
Well done mate, good catnip addition I can hear the managers purring. For the next update would it be possible to add that little field that lets you change the time-scale? The one that just lets you do -24h, -2d, etc.
Re: Nagios XI graph pop-ups
lol, Scott and I had said that it'd probably be a week or so before someone would ask for that.
Yeah, that can be done. We need to add that into a few other places as well.
Re: Nagios XI graph pop-ups
Haha, well happy to oblige
. Thanks Mike!
