backup_xi script

Post by Fred Kroeger »

Looking for an easy (reliable) way to migrate an old NagiosXI 2011R1.8 32b VM installation to a newly built 2011R3.3 64b VM installation.

Will there be a problem/conflict if I use the backup_xi and restore_xi scripts (32b vs 64b architecture) ?
Are there any other areas that I need to copy across?

BTW - how far away is the release of the 2012 version ?

The backup/restore scripts should work, but be sure you pay attention to the Things to consider in this document

As always, don't decommission your old server until you are sure everything is working as expected.

2012 should be release in the next week or 2
