Nagios upgrade is failing with the error 'nagios' database is not in a usable configuration.

OS Distro: CentOS 7.9
Nagios version: 5.7.4
trying to upgrade to the latest version

Nagios upgrade is failing with the below error, I want to know fix the issue with Nagios and do the upgrade.
I am sure I can make changes in some files to configure my Nagios credentials and make this work. I don't know which file or configuration needs to be updated.

Error Log:

ERROR 144 (HY000) at line 7: Table './nagios/nagios_logentries' is marked as crashed and the last (automatic?) repair failed
Automated migration failed on file upgrade-from-3.0.4.sql!
The 'nagios' database is not in a usable configuration.

The first thing I would try is to repair the databases. You can follow this support article that walks you through doing so.
