Hello all,
I want to automate downtime in XI when I have a list of linux servers that are being patched. We patch in what we call region progression (week 1 dev/test; week 2 stage; week 3 production) and the list changes every event. There are hundreds of servers in each list. Is there a way to do this? Ideally we will have ansible kick off the downtime and set the window to ~12 hours.
Any help is appreciated!
Thanks.

Re: Automate downtime
Hi @kbauma01,
Nagios XI has the scheduled downtime feature. With a quick google search, I found that Ansible has a Nagios module that appears to be able to accomplish what you're looking for. I can't speak to how well it works as I have not tested it myself, nor is it a Nagios-supported product, but I think it's worth a try.
Let us know if this works and if you have any additional questions!
