windows monitoring

Post by skavalackal »

I am trying to monitor a windows server(2008 server). I installed the NSClient++ on the windows machine according to the documentation.Nagios telling that the host is down with the message that "rta nan, lost 100%" . I know that the machine is up an running without any problem. How to fix it. Any help is apreciated. Also is there any way to deploy the agent to a client machine and install it from the naguios XI server itself. NSClient service is started and running on the windows machine. Is there anything to do with the NSClient password that I entered during the NSCclient installation ?.I am new to Nagios XI.
Any help is apreciated

This looks like some variety of networking problem. For instance, you may have a firewall that is blocking ICMP packets. I'd need to know more about your network topology to assist further on that one.

Not currently.

Enabled ICMP in the firewall and it works.
Thank you for the help.
