Export Bandwidth Usage Reports to PDF Failing Again

Post by [email protected] »

We have recently had issues with our bandwidth usage reports arriving with no attached pdf's.

We found the following forum post and applied the needed patch and that seemed to resolve our issue and began receiving the attached pdf's again with our daily emails. viewtopic.php?t=75280&sid=05d3d3b862fa1 ... 3fb2591699

Suddenly, a week later (after no changes), the pdf files have again stopped being attached to our daily emails. Any idea as to why and how to fix? These pdf reports are sent out to multiple folks everyday and we really need these working.

We are running:
Nagios XI 2024R1.1.3

thank you!

Update: I think we figured out the issue.. Have been getting "chromium-browser killed by SIGSEGV", so I removed it a few days ago. Looks like that is what nagios is using for scheduled report pdf attachments. Reinstalled chromium and re-ran scheduled report, pdf is now attached.

Linux Distribution and version? -- CentOS7
32 or 64bit? -- 64 bit
VMware Image or Manual Install of XI? -- Manual install
Are there special configurations on your system, ie; is Gnome installed? Are you using a proxy? Are you using SSL? -- We are using SSL. No proxy.

I'm glad to hear your problem is resolved. I'm curious to know (and given the circumstances we may never know) whether the version of chromium changed when you removed and reinstalled it, or whether you can regenerate those scheduled reports from the failed dates, just to see if there's a problem with the data being sent to chromium to make into a pdf or if it was a problem with the chromium installation itself.
Please let us know if you have any other questions or concerns.
