We lost some data related to our metrics in Nagios. We found a backup and would like to restore and merge it with the current data. We found a tool:

We would like to know if this tool is still supported and if it can help us restore and merge metric data for Nagiosxi.

The content available on the Nagios Exchange is user submitted content. As such, we cannot guarantee that it is maintained or will work. Looking at that tool, it hasn't been maintained since 2016. That said, it could still work. Trying it is worth a shot, but always take a backup of the system in case something goes wrong.
I also found this RRD merge tool on GitHub; you could also try that or find another, there are some more out there. But again, make sure to take a backup should anything go wrong.
