OS upgrade to linux oracle 8.9 and Nagios upgrade from 4.0.7 to 4.5.x

We want to upgrade the OS to linux oracle 8.9 and upgrade the nagios core from 4.07. to 4.5.2 including data migration to new server so what steps needs to be followed and nagios 4.5.x version is compatible with Linux oracle 8.9?

- This recent forum post covers what you will likely need to do to successfully upgrade your Core server's underlying distribution. For more explicit instructions, there are a number of posts regarding the topic that come up with a quick search.

- You will likely want to upgrade your distribution first and then upgrade Nagios Core.

- And, yes, nagios 4.5.x is compatible with Oracle 8.9.
