nagios.xi_cmp_favorites doesn't exist (after upgrade)

Post by siemensscott »

We updated from version 5.x to 2024R1.1.1 of Nagios XI.

We can still log in.

but, as in the attachments, the displays are full of missing table errors. :(

How can we fix this?

(Yes, we ran the repair script.)

Help, please?

Hi @siemensscott,

On this issue, I would advise putting in a ticket with support https://answerhub.nagios.com/support/s/ .

HI @siemensscott,

I have a few suggestions you could try (although I do recommend opening a support ticket as this may be a symptom of a larger problem):
1. If you are upgrading from a version prior to 5.10, I recommend trying to upgrade first to 5.10 then proceeding to the target version (e.g. 2024R1.1.1). We migrated the db from PostgresSQL to MySQL so if one issue arose, it is likely that more will. Try this first. Make sure to take snapshots.
2. If you do not use the favorites functionality, you could delete the component in Admin -> Manage Components.
3. In a similar vein, you could try re-uploading the component (although I doubt this will be effective as this doesn't interact with the db).

Let us know what you find out.

Thank you!
