Turn off Host Notifications
Sometimes I need to suspend a host and would like a simple way to disable notifications for that host and all its services. I haven't found any effective way to do this. Can someone point me in the right direction?

It sounds like Scheduled Downtime might be what you're looking for. To do this for a single host or service, Click on Host Status from the Home navigation, under the Details header. Click on the host you're looking to modify, and then go to the Advanced tab, where you can choose to schedule downtime for that host. You can also do this by service by clicking Service Status instead. Hopefully this helps, please let us know this didn't get to the root of your issue.
