Please help answering below questions:
1. Do we have an appliance or preconfigured CentOS 9 with Nagios XI installed? That we can just download and set it up in our environment.
2. If I'm going to build a new VM with an CentOS 9, is there a way to migrate my Nagios from old to this newly built OS?
Note: The person who built our Nagios environment have left the company so basically we have zero knowledge now and trying to learn about Nagios.

Hi @11abbidoa,
The first place I would start is [email protected]. They can fill you in on your organization's licensing status, and help get you connected to the right resources at Nagios.
There is an OVA on CentOS 9. Whether you are able to make the switch will come down to your licensing status, which is why I point you to [email protected]. It's generally best not to post license info here on the forum.

11abbidoa,
We have a video on migrating from Cent 7 to 9 here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xr4u3CR ... nel=Nagios
As for a preconfigured VM - we distribute an OVA that is built on Cent 9. You can find the download for that here: https://www.nagios.com/products/nagios-xi/downloads/

I'm going to use the OVA CentOS 9 and use backup and restore approach for migration.
My Nagios version is 2024R1.1.5 on CentOS 7, So I need to install the 2024R1.1.5 on CentOS 9 first?
But isn't 2024R1.1.5 is not supported on CentOS 9?
Because on the video, in order for the restoration to succeed. You need to install the same version from where you took the backup.

Hello @11abbidoa,
As of this posting, all versions of Nagios XI 2024 are compatible with EL9 distros, so you can backup and restore XI 2024R1.1.5 from Cent 7 to 9.

Unfortunately my attempt to upgrade from 5.9.1 to 2024R1.1.5 had failed. How about installing 5.9.1 in Cent9 and do to backup and restore? Will it work?
