Getting Error: Could not connect to IP Connection reset by peer

Post by lrnnetops »

Hi Team,

We are experiencing the following error after adding couple of nodes in Nagios XI. Please help us in resolving this error.

Is nrpe or xinetd running on the remote hosts?
Is allowed_hosts set right in nrpe.cfg or the xinetd config?
Is port 5666 open on the hosts?

We are using xinetd, after starting xinetd now below error is coming.
CHECK_NRPE: (ssl_err != 5) Error - Could not complete SSL handshake with 10.x.x.x: 1
