One-off Send Alert to Contact?

Is there any way to manually send a one-off notification to someone of a condition I find in the console?

Scenarios: a) Person(s) is configured for notification, but the alert remains un-addressed (maybe they overlooked their notification). Can I manually remind them, resend it? b) Person(s) are not configured for notification, but I think they would should be made aware ad-hoc. Can I manually send to them?

I looked at Send Custom Notification, but I cannot direct notification to a specific contact. The best it offers is Broadcast, which as I read the help would notify all of my contacts -- not what I want.

If this is not possible, I request this as a feature.

Thanks, I understand escalations. I want to send a condition to someone ad-hoc. Might be an OK condition, might be a Warn or Critical. Might be a follow-up, or might be the first time they see it. Not configure a standing escalation.

Hi Greg,

I've made a feature request for ad hoc notifications in XI. I'm not sure where this sort of feature will fit into the road map but it'll be taken under consideration.
