RESOLVED: CHECK_NRPE

Post by kirior »

Hi

I just inherited the nagios core at work. it is version 4.4.12

We have a HP Arryay scan enabled on the environment and all servers that are added to it, except one are scanning fine. The error I am receiving from the scan is:

CHECK_NRPE: Error receiving data from daemon

Again this only is on one server and all others are fine and reporting correctly.

As I am super new to nagios and was unable to find NRPE related posts I decided to post this question. Any assistance will be appreciated.

Regards,

this post gave me a starting point:

viewtopic.php?t=75791

after that I started to dig through the NSClient++ settings and realized it was misconfigured. Compared those settings with a server that this was working on and voila it is all reporting correctly now.

This is now resolved, but I posted as I hate posts without solution :)
