Light background Screen on Nagios Web Interface After Installation

Post by sophi-josephine »

Hi,
I installed Nagios on CentOS 5.3 without any issues, and I have successfully installed the Nagios plugins and NRPE on both the local and remote systems. I can retrieve the NRPE version from the remote host. However, when I log into the Nagios web interface, the main page and documentation pages load fine. But when I try to navigate to other pages using the left-side menu, I only see a light background screen regardless of what I click.

Is anyone else faced this light background issue? I'm new to Nagios and would appreciate any help or guidance on this issue!

Hi @sophie-josephine,

Before trying anything else, I recommend installing Nagios XI (or Nagios Core) on a supported distro (listed here for XI. There are a number of potential issues caused by using distros that are end of life.

Out of curiosity, are you trying to install Nagios Core or Nagios XI? What version?

Thank you!

After the firmware upgrade on the ACM7008-2-LMR, I faced SSL handshake issues likely due to OpenSSL version mismatch and now the web interface just shows a bright white screen. This is making monitoring and access really difficult. bright white screen

Nagios requires proper read permissions to display its contents. If configuration files or CGI directories do not have proper permissions, you may get a blank page. If SELinux is enabled, it may block CGI scripts from working properly.
