Scheduled Backups Failing

Post by TheCooDave »

Hi,

2 issues but, main one is scheduled backups fail. We have it on a VM so any major changes I do a snapshot, this helps for now but, I would really like backups working again. This has not been working for months now, it was working in the past and just stopped.

I just updated NaigosXI the other day so we are on the newest 2024R2
SQL version: mysql Ver 8.0.42-0ubuntu0.24.04.1 for Linux on x86_64 ((Ubuntu))

Checking through the "Check for Updates" window, it does show progress. At the end I get the following error, and it does no deepeer.

Backing up MySQL databases...
mysqldump: [Warning] Using a password on the command line interface can be insecure.
mysqldump: Got error: 144: Table './nagios/nagios_notifications' is marked as crashed and last (automatic?) repair failed when using LOCK TABLES
Error backing up MySQL database 'nagios' - check the password in this script!

I did check here
https://assets.nagios.com/downloads/nag ... tabase.pdf
and did run the
/usr/local/nagiosxi/scripts/repair_databases.sh

No luck

Any idea on this one?

Other annoyance, no matter what I set in Session Cookie Settings, I could set 360 or 0 for unlimited, after about a 1/2 hour I always get logged out....

This is exactly what I was looking for! Monitoring file size thresholds with check_file_size sounds perfect. Has anyone tried this with log rotation involved?
