Misc Settings Image Difference

Post by AngeloMileto »

I'm trying to find - obviously unsuccessfully - what the difference is between the two misc settings of icon image and status image. Where do they show up? I'm guessing the icon image is maybe on the main screen when looking at any list with the host in it? What's the status image for then? Or is that something that if the status is something other than green, that one is displayed?

Hi Angelo,

Thank you for reaching out. The difference between the two miscellaneous image settings is that the icon image is used on the Host Status page, where it appears as the small icon or button to view a host’s detailed status information, while the status image is used in the Network Status Map to visually represent the host within the network topology view.

Please let us know if you have any other questions.
Best regards,

Perfect! It would be great if that simple explanation could be added to the Info pop-up for those fields in the web interface.
