Hi there,
I have just upgraded to the latest version of Nagios XI and have noticed that the "Home Page Modification" notification no longer seems to work.
I have it set up to load the "Tactical Overview" as the default homepage: /nagiosxi/includes/components/xicore/tac.php
It worked perfectly prior to upgrading, though now it loads /nagiosxi//includes/page-default-splash.php
I have verified the component settings and that it is enabled. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.
"Home Page Modification" Component Broken After Upgrade?
Re: "Home Page Modification" Component Broken After Upgrade?
I ran into this as well, when I upgraded to 2012.
Uninstalling and Reinstalling the component did the trick.
You can do this in the Admin -> Manage Components menu.

You may also need to set this on a per-user basis by clicking on the username in the upper right corner -> Home Page Options
Re: "Home Page Modification" Component Broken After Upgrade?
Thanks all, still seem to be having the same issue though...
I've tried to remove the component from Admin -> Manage Components. I verified (on the server) that the files from /usr/local/nagiosxi/html/includes/components/homepagemod/ were deleted. Next, I downloaded homepagemod from Nagios Exchange, loaded it up, changed the homepage, and still I get the default splash screen page...
What I found strange is that the URL field within the component was already pre-filled in after deleting and re-adding the component.
Also, with the component completely removed, I still receive a link in the upper-right hand corner of the "home page" to "Change my default home page" -- as if removing the component did not completely get rid of it.
When I click on that link with the component installed, I receive the error
"Not Found
The requested URL /nagiosxi/includes/components/homepagemod/useropts.php was not found on this server.
Apache/2.2.15 (CentOS) Server at 10.11.0.90 Port 80"
Not sure what to try from here... I really need it to default to the tactical page.

Re: "Home Page Modification" Component Broken After Upgrade?
Try this version of the component. We did find a bug during the 2012 beta that can cause unpredictable results with previous releases of this component. Install the component, reset the options from the Admin page, and see if that fixes the issue.

Right on, that did it.
Thank you very much for your help.
