Hi,
My OS, just updated today:
-Ubuntu 24.04.3 LTS (GNU/Linux 6.8.0-87-generic x86_64), x64
-Current NagiosXI version 2024R2.2.1
-this is Hyper-V virtual machine
-No special configurations
Today I tried to upgrade to 2026R1.0.1 on our Nagios XI server, we had an issue with the last update so wanted to try this one. With this, I did the upgrade, nothing noticed for errors during install, just the normal stuff.
Manual upgrade via your directions on the site, internal upgrade has never worked right.
After upgrade, I go to https://XX.XXX.XXX.XXX/nagiosxi
and it shows, no logon screen, just a black screen (I personally use the dark theme, odds are that is why it is black)
If I go to https://XX.XXX.XXX.XXX it shows the normal screen click to logon to Nagios, once clicked it goes back to black screen.
Tried on a different browser that I never used for Nagios, just to rule out a browser-based issue, exact same result and even tried a different computer, no change.
Last 2 updates, no luck, I rolled back again (on a VM, so used a snapshot) but any tips on trying to figure this out on what is going on?
Tried update to 2026R1.0.1 and just black screen no logon

Hi @TheCooDave,
Thanks for reaching out. Your XI license allows for 3 servers, Prod, Test & DR (Disaster Recovery). I would recommend that you clone your Prod VM and use it as a sandbox/test for updates, so you can test upgrades, before applying them to your Prod XI.
Once you have your Test XI setup, you can watch the Apache error_log for PHP errors and let us know what you see.
If you want more help than this forum can provide, please open a ticket with our Technical Support team at https://support.nagios.com/.

Like you saw a ban from this forum?
It doesn't look like that from this end.
Thoughts?

Hi @TheCooDave,
This may be an issue another user reported. Are there any PHP Fatal errors in the Apache error_log?
Also, what version of MySQL is running on the server?

Code: Select all
mysql --version
