Hi Nagios Community,
I recently had to restart the Nagios XI VM in order to update the computer.
When I started up the Nagios XI VM again, the following error appeared when logging in via Safari Web Browser;
NSP: Sorry Dave, I can't let you do that
I've tried all the steps highlighted at;
http://support.nagios.com/wiki/index.ph ... .22_Errors
The error is still persisting.
I have had this error before some time ago, and it was resolved with the ntp installation. However, it is no longer fixing the issue.
It works on FireFox.
Is there a known issue with Nagios XI and Safari? Or is it maybe the upgrade to 2012?
Thank you.
Kind Regards,
gshergill

gshergill,
run the date command on your machine running Safari and the Nagios VM and see if there is any time difference

Re: Nagios XI "Sorry Dave..." on Safari
Hi yancy,
NagiosXI;
Wed Oct 17 15:30:17 BST 2012
Mac;
Fri 19 Oct 2012 15:37:56 BST
These were run within about 5 seconds of each other.
I'll try restarting the Mac again and seeing if that changes anything.
Kind Regards,

Re: Nagios XI "Sorry Dave..." on Safari
gshergill,
There is a 2 day time discrepancy which is causing the issue.
These two times need to match either by manually setting the time or by using NTP.

Re: Nagios XI "Sorry Dave..." on Safari
Hi yancy,
I've restarted the Mac and the times are still off-sync (running the date command again).
However, the command;
ntpdate time.nist.gov
Is working and has updated the time for me (previously it was throwing up and error).
Thank you, I assumed that the dates were set the same due to ntp setting it correct last time.
Kind Regards,
gshergill

Re: Nagios XI "Sorry Dave..." on Safari
Hi lmiltchev,
The problem is now solved.
After finding out the issue was with the date (from the date command), it seems restarting the Mac fixed the issue with the ntpdate command.
Thank you.
