can this Nagios Fusion product be installed on the same server as Nagios XI OR does it need a separate server...
what port does it use to communicate between nagios servers and how does it do it...does it just reads the mysql data....

Take a look at this docs which talks about which ports are used for communication.

You can run Nagios Fusion on the same box as your other Nagios installs.
