When trying to add existing (AD) users to SSO, the "Configure Users" button often does nothing, as in clicking it gets no response whatsoever, after finding the user in Entra/Azure SSO and then attempting to match them with their existing (imported from AD) user account in Nagios. The only way I know it "works" is if I get a quick flicker of the mouse cursor and/or the button, but otherwise there is no notification. Typically, I also have up the Users page so I can verify it specifies the auth type as "Active Directory & SSO".
I've searched through the board here it appears I'm not the only one experiencing this kind of issue with adding individual users to SSO when there are several thousand or more users in Entra ID / Azure SSO. It appears to be an issue entirely with the web UI as the `sso_integration.log` doesn't show errors.
Previously this was the case mostly if I searched for the user and then tried to add them in 2026R1.1. I could somewhat work around this by going through the pages and then adding the user, so I thought the search function was broken. With the more current 2026R1.3 though not even that works as it did before, though the initial load of groups and users is much faster than before. Honestly, I'd take the previous 2+ minute load time and being able to add users to SSO then this near instant load and not being able to add users to SSO.
If I configure the user and it won't allow me to click on the "Configure Users" button, and I unconfigure them myself (by either changing their local existing user to "No User" or scrolling down and removing them with the trash icon) and THEN I can click "Configure Users (0, 1 changed) it will give me a "successfully processed user!" and the sso_integration.log will log that it's processing and it removed the sso mapping for that user, even though no mapping existed! I find it funny it will let me unconfigure a non-existent configuration but won't let me actually configure a user.
Regardless, this is driving me crazy and is now preventing me from on-boarding users due to our SSO requirement.
Issues adding existing users to SSO
Re: Issues adding existing users to SSO
Hello elliotfox,
There is a bug where the first change to the individual users form is not recognized. We have a fix that will ship in the near future that will resolve this. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Re: Issues adding existing users to SSO
Thanks for the reply. Is there a work-around? As in, can I do some other step to make that "first change" and then do the step I need to do?
Re: Issues adding existing users to SSO
Yes, you can make a random change and then the desired changes.
Re: Issues adding existing users to SSO
I suggest clearing browser cache, switching browsers, and disabling any extensions, as well as verifying there are no JavaScript errors in dev tools when clicking Configure Users. Trees Hate You
Re: Issues adding existing users to SSO
I've tried everything suggested here with no luck. Attempting multiple actions does not allow any of them to succeed. I don't see any new "Issues" logged in the browser devtools console other than the normal ones that appear when browsing Nagios XI.
The interface page also appears to be doing some strange things.
Pagination is wrong. It gives what *should be* the correct amount of pages if you listed all "user" entries listing them at 50 per page, but if you go to the last page it's maybe 2/3 through all the individual users, and you can keep clicking "Next >" to keep going, all the while still being on the same "last page".
Also, the "Individually Configured Users" block at the bottom of the page will just start inserting users there, even though I've made no action to change any users. All I did was change the viewed page. It looks like it might be loading up the users that have already been configured when changing to the page that lists them? It's confusing.
