Hello guys,
I request your help for 2 problems...
First, and certainly a stupid question, but How to add a contact group to all services of an host ? without configure every services... I try with adding the contactgroup to the host, but service didn't inherite the configuration.

Secondly, when i Had a contactgroup to a service notification, the configuration didn't apply.
Example :
I have 2 contact group : admin, Dev
The admin group is already configure for receive notification of my service.
I try to add the Dev group to the notifications.
I add it on the web interface, save conf, apply conf. All is ok.
When i check , the Dev group is not in my notification contactgroup for this service....
Same if i had it myself in my service.cfg file and restart nagios service, the contact group disappear...

Someone have an idea ?
Thanks for your help and sorry for my english.
Regards.

Problem 1
You were correct to just add it to the host, it won't show anywhere but falls under Implied Inheritance

Problem 2 possibly is a bug that has been fixed in the current release, what version of Nagios XI are you using?

Thanks for your answer.
I thought it was a bug, so i just made the update to 2012 R1.2 and it doesn't solve the problem.

Thanks for the thread of inheritance, I'm going to study it.

Are you saying you go to CCM -> Services -> Modify -> Alert Setting
Add a contact group
Save
Then go to CCM -> Services -> Modify -> Alert Setting
and the contact group isn't there?

Are you available to a quick remote session so we can take a look at what you describe?
