Hypermap and Performance with 2012R1.2

Post by sikainfo »

Hi there,
since our update to NagiosX11 2012R1.2 general the performance is getting lower and hypermap doesn't work anymore. (see Attachment)
Any suggestions to get faster and bring the Hypermap up again?

Regards Andy

The hypermap performance is all client-side (javascript), so the speed depends on your browser and workstation. What browser are you viewing this in?

The image shows it not working at all, is it broken entirely or just slow? Those will be two different problems.

Hi,
I'm using Firefox 10.0.1 but i tested also with IE8 same problem, so it looks like broken entirely.
But the overall performance compared to the Nagios Core version 3.3 is significant slower !

Let me do some large install testing on this and we'll see what we can figure out...

There does appear to be an issue with this on larger installs. How many hosts do you have on your system?

<Facepalm> Sorry about that. Yeah, it looks like the data fetch is tanking on the larger number of hosts. What's weird is that we haven't actually changed anything related to this component. I filed a bug report on our tracker so you can watch the progress. Thanks for the report.

Yes you will need to create a tracker account (Free). This is different than other accounts on Nagios sites...

Hey guys,
I just wanted to ask if there was any change on this issue?
Because in the meantime we've reduced the services and hosts a little bit (7488 / 562) and the version i'm running is Nagios XI 2012R1.4.
This all fixed the described problem, but still what ist the trigger here, a change in the version or the number of services and/or hosts?
