I also did note that you had 13 active httpd processes at about 3% each.
If you have a quite a few people active connecting to the Web UI you may need to up the processing power to handle these.

Have you made any changes in Admin -> Performance Settings -> Dashlets?

It could be that the ps information you had was just for a short time window and httpd isn't a big user.
Looking again at the image you posted it looks like you are averaging about 60% CPU utilization with 2 CPU's allocated.
With the quantity of hosts/services you have the recommendation is 2-4+ CPU cores so you may need to add more as this increases

Hi,
You can close the ticket : I removed the checks on ESX servers using check_esx3.pl.
That decreased the performance problems by half.
Now I only check ESX availability (services are monitored by Veaam monitor).
