Flexible Recurring Downtime

Post by sattanathan »

Hi,

I am Sattanathan, new to Nagios. I have a typical requirement to have a recurring downtime in flexible mode.

My Scenario is : A service have a automatic downtime every Sunday between 6.15 a.m to 7 a.m. The exact downtime never start at 6.15 a.m. but any time after 6.15 and the service comes up before 7 a.m. I need a alert to be raised only if the service doesn't comes up after 7 a.m.

Please help me to proceed on this.

Thanks & Regards,
Sattanathan.S

XI has recurring downtime but not flexible. However in the scenario you describe, setting the recurring downtime from
06:15
45
Sunday

Should work perfectly.

Thanks scott .. I have done the same. But something happens to the service before exactly the service goes down and the service in scheduled downtime will be a problem. If this can be avoided it will be good.

Thanks,

Even if you set flexible downtime once the service goes down, the downtime is triggered and would start...
