Bulk modifications and notification period

Post by JulianFDRacing »

I used the bulk modification tool to add the "xi_timeperiod_24x7" to a large number of services (955) but now when I apply configuration I get 955 warnings about missing notification periods.

I've used the string "xi_timeperiod_24x7" in the bulk mod tool but when I check the service configurations they show blanks.

Is the value assigned to the change the name of the time period or a numeric reference to it or something?

Yes, it is a numeric reference to the ID on the right of CCM -> Time periods

I would not use the xi_timeperiod_24x7 as this is special, I would use the standard 24x7

Still no change, I set the value to 1 this time which is the ID of 24x7 and its still not applied, I need this sorting pretty quickly so is there a way of just using mysql to manually change them on mass?

I have tried this three times even using the command line "reconfigure_nagios" but it still wont stick....

from Nagios -

Latest Available Version: 2012R1.3
Installed Version: 2012R1.2
Last Update Check: 2012-12-13 15:36:08

Is this perhaps something that was fixed in R1.3?

Possibly.

There was a bug relating to the sourcegaurdian loader that was corrected in 2012R1.3 that affected this component.

After running the Bulk Modification do you get the message "Updates saved successfully!"
