operation sceen couldnot connect to DB !!

Dear Support,

1] operation sceen component giving an error "could not connect to database" but all host and service are up to date also coming on Operation Center
2] host/services are out of sync ,

You aren't the only one this happens to. I noticed this happened, and just started using "Operations Center" instead, even though I much prefer "Operations Screen" with its darker appearance. I just wasn't paying enough attention to notice if it happened when we offloaded the database or upgraded to 2012. Is your database by chance offloaded to another server as well?

yes my db is offloaded. but when we apply some changes its not tacking effects until it re-sync to db. nagiosxi expert plz reply and fix this issue as early as possible

Well, at least now I know there is someone else with the issue. Maybe it has something to do with the offloading of the database. Hopefully someone can figure out that issue so I can use the component again.

As for your other issue, when you apply changes are any warnings or errors reported? Nagios offices are closed today and tomorrow for holiday so you may not see a reply from them until Wednesday.

when i add new services it's adding to db and check are also executed without any error, but i want to make some changes on services which i have added which i cant due to syn issue.

If the Core Config Manager is telling you that the files are out of sync, then that means your configuration changes have not actually been applied to Nagios yet. Click Apply Configuration for your config changes to take effect.

As for the Operation Screen component, we'll take a look at the code and see why it's not connecting with an offloaded DB.

Here you go. This version should connect to the offloaded DB correctly as long as you've updated the credentials and DB information in your /usr/local/nagiosxi/html/config.inc.php file.
