Does nsclient++ works with citrix 6.0 server?

Post by relateqld »

We have about 10 citrix 6.0 server running windows 2008 r2 and I'd like to monitor them in nagios xi (2012R1.2 with centos 6.3). As they all come from same provision server with same image, if I installed nsclient++ in the image, can nagios identify each of them?

thanks

Nagios identifies hosts by address/dns hostname. So as long as each server is provisioned with a separate ip address or name, you should be able to slip nsclient into the image.

Yes, I know in theory it should work. But because it need modify the golden image (install nsclient++ on image) and that is production environment, better 100% sure it will work and then we can deploy nsclient++. Does anyone else already monitor citrix 6.0 environment using nsclient++? Any information will be appreciated.

We can wait to see if anyone will chime in, we don't have a citrix 6.0 server running windows 2008 r2 to test this on...
