Is there a hpuxagent that works like NRPE to communicate with Nagios server?

There are a number of guides involving compiling NRPE on HP-UX systems but it is not currently actively supported by our team, I have head of success in doing this however, and there may be someone who was able to do so, I would suggest checking for the most recent documentation via Google and then giving it a shot if you feel comfortable, though we will help you, support will be limited.

However you can use options such as check-by-ssh, or SNMP if you have it enabled on your system.

We don't have an agent for HP-UX, yet. You can use SNMP or NRPE. Also, there are some perl plugins on the Nagios Exchange:
