We use the Home Page Dashboard as a welcome screen. As an administrator, when a change is deployed, quite often we find users delete or move dashlets around.
Is there a way to lock the Home Page Dashboard?
Perhaps I need to make a feature request for the Dashboard Deployment tool?
-Check-box option to "freeze" a dashboard, all dashlets are locked in place and can not be moved or deleted. This includes users and admins. The board can only be changed if the "freeze" is removed.
-Check-box option to Sync across "All users", rather than selecting all individually. This includes current users and any additions in the future.
-Indicate which dashboards are set to Sync and list which users are affected.

Actually, if you select the "Keep Synced" check-mark box, while deploying dashboards to various users, the users who are administrators will be able to delete dashlets, but not the ones that are set as "users" only (not administrators).

Regular users can still delete and move items if synced though. I'm talking about completely denying this ability. Also, when synced, the items are not restored until a new session (which doesn't always work).
There is no way to tell if a dashboard is synced or with what users. Requiring an administrator to manually sync the dashboard with all users every time a change is made.

If you select "synced", a user can delete a dashlet but it "reappears". Unfortunately, at the moment, a user can delete the dashboard. We will be looking into this. Meanwhile, you can post a feature request on our bug tracker.
